Nominating petitions for the office of City Council for the City of Houghton will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the City Clerk's Office, 616 Shelden Avenue, City Center, Houghton, MI. This will be the last day and time to file nominating petitions for the office of City Council. Petition forms are available at the City Clerk's office from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The following positions are up for election.

Council members are elected at large throughout the City. Names of candidates who qualify for office will appear on the November 6, 2018 General Election ballot.
